How to Register
The City of Poulsbo Parks and Recreation uses an online recreation system, Rec1CivicRec, that allows residents to easily search and sign up for upcoming classes, programs and activities.
If you try to set up an account and your e-mail address is already in use, please EMAIL or call 360-779-9898 to receive a temporary password to your account. Classes can now be searched for under categories, including preschool, youth, adults, seniors, camps, and special events.

Please register at least one week prior to the program start date. Programs will be canceled if the minimum enrollment has not been met five business days prior to the start of the program. Registration is ongoing until classes are full or canceled due to lack of students. Waitlists will be taken for classes that are full.

Our Fall Activity Guide is now available, filled with activities to make the season fun and enriching for all ages!
For kids, we are excited to announce expanded after‑school partnerships now serving Poulsbo Elementary, Pearson Elementary, and Poulsbo Middle School. You’ll find a variety of engaging programs offered right on campus after school. We’re also offering two special camps to support families during the new NKSD half‑day conference days, along with several camps to keep kids active and entertained over the holiday break. New gymnastics, soccer, and volleyball programs are available, and our fall and winter recreational basketball leagues are on track to be bigger and better than ever.
We’ve added several new artists eager to share their talents with both youth and adults, including a former Nickelodeon artist teaching illustration and cartooning. This season’s lineup features a wide variety of holiday art classes—stained glass, wreaths, candles, journals, pendants, mosaics, and more—perfect for handmade gifts or personal creativity. Even preschoolers can join the fun with a weekly drop‑in STEAM art class.
Adults looking to learn and explore will find new writing courses and a five‑week series on the Constitution of the United States, taught by one of Poulsbo’s council members. Returning favorites include Spanish, Self‑Defense, Sword Work, and Ballroom Dance.
With the addition of our Senior and Adaptive Specialist, Jesse Allred, our senior programs have grown significantly. Look for the dedicated senior section near the front of the brochure. Many senior programs are offered at no cost, thanks to generous donations from individuals and community partners. We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support.
Poulsbo Parks and Recreation also hosts some great fall events. Our Preschool Spooktacular takes place on October 31 from 3:30–5:00 pm and is free for families with children ages 1–5. Salmon Tours return to Fish Park on November 7.
Fall is a beautiful time to explore Poulsbo’s parks. Enjoy the vibrant seasonal colors and consider discovering a new favorite spot using our parks map on page 49.

Gymnastics
The Gymnastics Program has been an integral part of Poulsbo Parks & Recreation since the City took over the Recreation Center in 1995. Our gymnastics program builds flexibility, balance, and strength needed in every sport – not just gymnastics! Participants learn about perseverance, patience, trusting others, managing risk, and countless other life skills.
Poulsbo Parks & Recreation takes pride in our gymnastics classes, instructors, and facility at the Recreation Center, providing a variety of classes for youth aged 18 months and older, and vary depending upon the time of year. Class descriptions can be found in our online catalog by clicking the button below.
Our recreational gymnastics program builds confidence in its participants in an encouraging, safe, and non-competitive environment. Our gymnasts learn to love the sport of gymnastics and watch their skills progress at their own pace. Recreational gymnastics classes serve everyone from Mini and Me classes through Middle School. Classes are offered Monday through Saturday and will be held in the Recreation Center Gym.

Volleyball: Intramural Fall Girls Recreational League, 2026
Basketball: 2026-27 Winter Leagues
Middle School Girls Prep Basketball League, Winter 2026/27
NOV/DEC/JAN: A strong league, playing double headers on Sundays to prepare our 6/7/8 grade girls for their upcoming school seasons! The girls Prep Basketball League is taking registrations! Practices starting as soon as teams form early Nov. The league is put together to provide the girls practice and game time prior to school tryouts. We routinely schedule either at Kingston High School (primary gym) or Kingston Middle School. I can work around most schedules and conflicts. 9 GG, which includes playoff games. Possible game dates are Dec 6, 13, 20; Jan 3, and 10. Playoffs will be Jan 16/17. Fee is $225 per player. Click here to register!

Basketball: 2026 Winter Recreational Basketball Leagues, forming Poulsbo and Kingston teams!
Elementary, Grades 1 thru 5, Boys and Girls Winter Recreational 2026 Basketball League! Click here to register!
DEC/JAN/FEB/MAR: This is your basketball league!! Divisions by grade and gender, with each player getting a ball! Signups are open!! Returning players can ensure the return to last year’s team by signing up before Nov 2. Teams, when formed, can start practices the week of Tuesday, Dec 1. Games are Saturdays, starting Jan 9. Fee: Grades 1 thru 4th is $195 (7 games) and grade 5 is $225 (8 games.) Any questions, please call us at 360-779-9898!
Basketball for our 6 thru 8 Grade Boys Winter Recreational 2026 Basketball League Click here to register!
DEC/JAN/FEB/MAR: We will have a 6th grade boys division and a 7/8th grade boys division. All teams get a minimum of 8 games, which includes a playoff the last two weeks of the season (March 1-March 13.) For the boys, your school season will be over well before our game schedule starts!! Continue your play with your buddies in this great league!! Practices start early Dec. Games start Saturdays, Jan 9. Fee: $225*. Any questions, please call us at 360-779-9898.

Did you know? The outdoor sports court at the Recreation Center is painted with pickleball court lines and is available for rent. The fee is $5 per hour and it may be reserved Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-1:30 pm. The reservation fee includes use of our pickleball net, racquets and balls.
