While you’ve been looking forward to spring blossoms and warmer weather, we’ve been planning plenty of ways for you to enjoy the upcoming seasons!

Our Spring Activity Guide contains both spring programs and many summer camps as well. We expect to add a few more camps in our Summer Update in May. We are excited to have 34 new programs for you in this guide, plus all your ongoing favorites.

To keep our active youth busy, we have everything from music and art to science, cooking and all types of sports. There is something for all ages and interests!

Take a look at our new Homeschool Art class.  Did you know that many of our classes will fit into your homeschool schedule?

We are excited to announce a new partnership with Pickleball Kingdom! They will be offering After-School Pickleball classes at Wolfle and Suquamish Elementaries, as well as themed summer camps such as Pirates and Pickleball, Engineering, Strategy and Pickleball, and more. Pickleball is all the rage now, and we expect these fun programs to fill quickly, so don’t wait to register.

Have you seen the new Skate Park at Frank Raab Park yet? Do you have a child who wants to learn to skateboard or better their skills? Hop On Board: Intro to Skateboarding is a new spring workshop that will teach them how at our beautiful new skate park.

Do you have an older youth who misses gymnastics from when they were younger, or is interested in learning gymnastics? Youth ages 6-16 now have the opportunity to do gymnastics at the North Kitsap High School Gymnastics Gym at Breidablik Elementary. This new Level 1 class is great for any age wanting to learn or re-learn gymnastics.

For our adults and seniors, if you are interested in continuing your artistic adventures, we have every medium you can think of from painting to laser cut wood to stained glass and mosaics!

Instructor Mariah Ordonez is offering an exciting new papercraft class that will really help you expand your creativity, Introduction to Interactive Sketch Books: Create Movable Art.    You will create a sketchbook with elements such as pop-ups, pockets, wheels and sliding tabs. Both beginning and experienced artists will deepen their learning of drawing and painting techniques, storytelling through art, as well as prototype and design.

Or try a new activity such as learning to make sourdough in Sourdough 101, putting on your skates to learn Skate Dancing, learning Spanish, or learning how you can help out the Kitsap Humane Society by taking Fostering Foundations: Kitten Edition.

For those who love nature and gardening, we have two programs for creating a better habitat in your backyard. Kathryn Owen teaches Making Room for Pollinators in Your Own Backyard, and Cathy Johnson will help you learn how to get it certified in her Washington State Backyard Habitat Certification class.  During Earth Week in April, we have a variety of programs going on that we hope you will join us for.

We continue to offer a vast fitness program for adults through seniors, regardless of your age or ability. Whether you want to do Chair Yoga or Active Flow Yoga, Tai Chi, Tighten and Tone (TNT), or get intense with Express Strength or High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), we’ve got a class for you!
